Nytricx Dual Purpose Nitric Oxide-Releasing Dressings and Patches 

  • Using a biocompatible NO donor (SNAP) embedded into PDMS (silicone

  • NO gas is released to the wound side and environmental side 

  • Tranexamic Acid (TXA) released to wound surface promotes clotting

  • 3 log (99.9%) reduction in MRSA bacterial count in porcine wound model with nitric oxide

  • NO rapidly decreases bacterial count for up to 12 days (change dressing every 3 days) with no impairment of healing

  • NO plays a significant role in the wound healing process

Nytricx is also developing a Fiber Optic NO-releasing wound patch, based on it's Fiber Optic catheter insert technology, designed for acute and chronic wound care
